The Orient Institute, in partnership with the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ISCSP-ULisboa), the International Relations Coordination Unit and the Centre for Studies on Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism, is organizing the 7th edition of the International Conference on Contemporary Terrorism, entitled “New Emerging Threats”, which will take place on May 16, 2024, starting at 9h30 am in the Óscar Soares Barata Auditorium of the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences.
The event aims to debate the trends and strategies related to modern terrorism, with reference to a broad set of emerging threats on which it will seek to understand the impacts of contemporary terrorism and the challenges imposed on state and non-state actors (governments, organizations and civil society).
